What is the Tran Cool System?

Developed and manufactured by Tranquil PC Ltd, TranCool systems provides an adaptable, cost effective and efficient cooling system for many of today’s Intel (Pentium M and Atom ) and VIA (C3, C7, C7D, C7M etc) CPUs as well as the associated north bridge chip, when used on mini-itx platforms.

The custom aluminium extrusions, along with custom gold heat pipes, provide a highly efficient transport path for heat generated by the chips to the large heat sinks found on our T2e and T7 systems. The function of the heat pipe is remarkable, it can conduct heat up to 400x quicker than pure copper, has no moving parts, and should out live any PC system.

The concept of the use of heat pipes to cool PC CPUs is now becoming popular, as they are so efficient. The unique feature of the Tran Cool system when used in our T2e and similar fanless chassis products, is that it can be quickly adapted to suit numerous mini-itx main boards / CPU’s and north bridge chips. The design of the main block, the securing system, the heat pipes and the unique cooler plates, all combine to create a flexible and robust system.

The Tran Cool system, used is a T2e and T7 chassis will provide exceptional cooling – far better than a factory fitted heat sink / fan solution. The system, being fan less, means ultra quiet operation, enhanced reliability, and remarkably low profile designs.

In Q3/Q4 2008 the Tran Cool 4 will be used to cool the new Moraira Core CPU module. There are 10,000's of Tran Cool based systems in use, and the exceptional performance and reliability will now be used to cool tomorrows platforms.
