The need for smaller, robust, fanless systems is ever increasing for industrial
control, data collection, machine control etc. The fanless design of the
Tranquil PCs combined with the small space occupied, make them perfect for
industrial deployment.
The 12V power input can easily be replaced with battery backup, so that machines
etc can be safely controlled, and shut down. In fail safe / security
environments, the use of simple 12v battery back up is easily understood, and
appreciated.The factory floor, food preparation area, machine shop, tooling
room, etc all are becoming populated with automation and PC controlled systems.
Of course most industrial environments are not the cleanest of places, with
severe dust and dirt in the air. Therefore the deployment of fanless sealed
systems such as the T2 is often the only option.
For less demanding requirements, the tiny T3 unit, fitted with your machine
monitoring / control OS on Compact Flash, or the internal notebook HDD, may be
the better option.
